After a scenic drive from Cape Town, your Cape adventure tour begins at the picturesque Kleinbaai Harbour just outside Gansbaai. This is the launch area for all cage diving operations and can be a hive of adventure activity on a beautiful morning. Geyser and Deyer islands (also known as "shark alley") are situated approximately 10 km offshore and it's here where you'll meet face to face with the Great White Shark. This area has earned worldwide fame for being one of the most prolific viewing sites in the world, almost guaranteeing sightings on every trip.
Once anchored, a securely designed 4/5 man steel cage is lowered into the water and is attached to the boat. This allows easy access to and from the cage and enables divers to go no more than 1m below the surface. Safety is of utmost importance to us, so we ensure our operators have all the necessary qualifications. All skippers, dive masters and crew are highly experienced and are always happy to share their expertise with you.

When is the best time to see sharks?
Usually the best time for shark diving is between April and June, although the high season runs from February until September. As winter approaches though, storm activity increases reducing the number of good weather days. That is why it is always a good idea to book in advance to allow for bad weather. October to January is regarded as the low season, but sightings are still very common in these months.
Is it safe?
Yes, safety is of paramount importance to us. The cage is designed to fully protect you should a shark get a little curious. This is extremly uncommon though as this is not part of it's natural habitat and they tend to leave it alone. All crew and equipment are fully certified and registered with the relevant authorities. A first aid officer is on board at all times in case of a medical emergency.
Am I guaranteed to see a Great White Shark?
Due to the nature of these animals, there are no guarantees, but usually there is more than a 99% chance of a sighting. In the unlikely event we don't find sharks, you will be offered a free trip (excl. transport)
