Flying high above Cape Town Ready for launch off Lions Head, Cape Town Paragliding off Lions Head, Cape Town Coming in for landing at La Med, Cape Town
Paragliding off Lions Head, Cape Town. Table Mountain in the background

Over the centuries, flying has evolved from a transport system into an extreme recreational sport. And as far as extreme sports are concerned, there is no air-borne adventure like Tandem Paragliding.

This extreme sport which involves a foot launched air-canopy, is one of the most exhilarating adventure activities on offer; and where better to embark on a Tandem Paraglide than in Cape Town – the city that boasts the most spectacular Paragliding destinations in the world?

Lion’s Head, the mountain range sandwiched between Table Mountain and Signal Hill, presents the perfect platform from which to launch. Feel on top of the world-literally; as you experience the excitement of moving with the air currents, 669 metres above sea level,  with the sandy, white beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton far below.

Other iconic launch sites include the breathtaking Signal Hill, Sir Lowry’s pass, Franschhoek and Hermanus. You simply haven’t seen Cape Town, until you’ve seen it from the sky.
